Lions Slovakia Adventure Camp 2018

Camp maximum capacity: 25 persons, ages 18-22 years

Camp Dates: JULY 23, 2018 – AUGUST 3, 2018

Family Hosting Dates: 
Participants from Europe:     from July 16 – July 23, 2018 (1 week) 
Participants from Overseas: from July 09 – July 23. 2018 (total 2 weeks) 

Suggested arrival by air: according to the location of the host family; to be communicated no later than 31.03.2018. Departure airport should be Bratislava (BTS) or Vienna (VIA).

Main accommodation: Spania Dolina, Slovakia, pension Klopacka

 

Camp description and activities: Slovakia is a special country. Even in such a small area, you’ll find everything from natural treasures and historical monuments to rich folk culture and modern entertainment in the busy city streets. Enjoy the beauty and unique atmosphere that Slovakia has to offer. Explore its splendid natural scenery, rich history, culture, and traditions. Come and explore deep valleys guarded by the majestic peaks of soaring mountains with crystal clear mountain streams and unbridled nature. You would visit ancient cities, know folk architecture in the countryside or UNESCO sites.

In camp you would try sport and outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, caving or rafting, find out unspoiled nature, deep forests and high mountains but also you will also enjoy old cities and theirs streets full of life and fun. You will be in heart of old mining region, old mines and tunnels are waiting for your explorations.

Family stay: Participants will stay in families in Czech republic or Slovakia.

What to pack?
Personal documents needed:
Passport and/or national identity card, International Student ID (if available) see: HERE

Basic outdoor equipment like summer hiking boots, light wind jacket, swimsuit, hat/cap, flashlight, warm pullover, small backpack etc.

Camp fee: € 200,- all fees/costs associated with the transfer have to be covered by the Applicant

All Applicants travel and participate in the Camp and Host Family programs at their own risk. 
No personal insurance will be provided by the LIONS Club.
